Neil R. Ferrara, 92, passed away on March 20, 2019. He was born in the Bronx and lived in Blue Point for the last 50 years. He was a World War II Army Veteran, receivedhis Bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Ohio, and went on to a career as a financial analyst for International Paper in New York City. He was an active member of the Grandview Gardens Beach Club, the Choral Festival of Brookhaven and the Bellport Historical Society.

He is survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. Neil is (was?)predeceased by his partner of 50 years, Harold Bernt. 

Friends and family gathered at the Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home, Bayport, on Monday March 25 to celebrate his extraordinary life andhewas laid to rest with Harold at Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers that a donation be made (and payable to) the Brookhaven Arts and Humanities Council, PO Box 2070, Miller Place, NY 11764 to support the Choral Festival of Brookhaven.
