Born in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia in December 1953, Misale Lulu began her journey in life. Misale was the eldest daughter to her parents General Lulu Engrida and Miss(Woizero) Gete Terfe.  She completed her high school education at the Empress Mennen High School in Addis Abeba.

Misale was a free spirit who wanted to see the world. She traveled overseas to the United States of America where she attended Boston College. She met her beloved husband Dr. Samson Mebrahtu in 1980 and was eventually married in New York City in May 1986. Misale is survived by her husband, her son and three sisters.

Misale was a very loving wife and mother whose delightful candor, eternally optimistic and vivacious personality will be missed. Her dedication and love for her family will always be remembered. She was and will always be the shining angel of their life.
