Visiting Hours:  Monday, February 26th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at our West Sayville funeral home.

Funeral Service:  Tuesday, February 27th, 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Episcopal Church, Middle Road, Sayville.

Private cremation to follow.

Joseph Nelson Bond, 89, of Commack, LI, died on February 24, 2018.  Raised in Sayville, Joseph was the son of Margaret and Rev. Joseph Bond, longtime Rector of St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Sayville.  Joseph graduated from Sayville High School and went on to earn his Bachelors’ Degree at University of Cincinnati.  He worked as an Aeronautical Engineer for several companies here on Long Island.  Joseph was very active with the Boy Scouts of America for more than 60 years.  He was an Eagle Scout, as are all three of his sons, and was a Silver Beaver Award recipient, as his father was before him.  Mr. Bond was also a longtime, active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Northport.

Mr. Bond is survived by his four children, Kathleen Manafort and her husband Paul of Florida, Thomas of Newburgh, NY, Jay and his wife Irene of California and Randy and his wife Stacy of East Hampton, his seven grandchildren, Collin, Jessica, Patrick, Andrea, Ella, Ronan and Nora, two great-grandchildren, Baylor and Bingham, as well as his brother, Thomas and his wife Ethel of Glen Cove.
