Joan R. Nash, 77, of Oakdale, LI, died on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Born and raised in White Plains, Joan spent nearly twenty years in East Islip where she raised her family, before moving to Oakdale nearly twenty years ago. Mrs. Nash worked for many years at John Pappas Furs in Oakdale, for Prudential Real Estate in Sayville and more recently in Constituent Services for the Town of Islip. She was also a long time member of the Good Samaritan Guild.
Mrs. Nash is survived by her husband, Michael, her two sons, Michael, Jr of Bay Shore and Kevin and his wife Tara of Pennsylvania, her granddaughter, Livia, as well as her sister, Elizabeth Brown.
Friends and relatives will gather on Friday, April 13th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Lawrence RC Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 14th. A private cremation will follow.
