Irene Jones

Irene Jones, age 100 on Sunday September 1, 2019. Born and raised in Sayville, Irene was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran church and its oldest. Mrs. Jones is survived by her children Pamela Kennard of Sayville, Barbara (Richard) Thompson of Tennessee and her grandchildren Angie, John, Jen, Melissa, Brian, Casey, Stacie, Matthew, Michael and her 9 great-grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by her husband Idris and her children Howie Jones and Sue Duffy. Her funeral arrangements were entrusted to Raynor & D’Andrea funeral home 245 Montauk Hwy West Sayville, New York 11796. Visitation will be held on Friday September 6that Raynor & D’Andrea from 4-8:00 pm and a church service will be held on Saturday September 7th10:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran church in Sayville. Her interment will follow at Sayville Union cemetery.
