If in the late 1950's there were BFF's, Ellie was mine. Absolutely inseparable during our grammar and middle school years, we lost touch when Ellie transferred to Schenectady (Linton) High from Notre Dame. Have many delightful memories of the Hessions and the Buckleys picnics, cocktail parties, and stay overs. Ellie was a formidable companion, even in the 2nd grade. Much love to all the Hessions and relatives.

Ellie's passing triggers a flood of memories. She was fun and strong, even as a child. Her parents were close to mine, Jim and Diane Buckley, starting in the 1950s. Sincere sympathy to her siblings remembered from Regent St days and before. We hope Ellie and the whole family is at peace.

Ellie led the way in high school to a new way of living and looking at the world. She was brave and admirable. I'm very sorry she has passed and I wish her family and friends peace.

Eleanor was a true woman of the sixties. Brave, vocal, intelligent, kind and beautiful. I have admired her since high school and will continue to do so. Her Facebook postings will be missed.
