Dr. Robert F. Meier, DDS

Dr. Robert F. Meier, DDS, 80, longtime Oral Surgeon in Sayville, died on September 24, 2017.  Raised in Queens Village, Bob graduated from Chaminade High School and went on to earn his Bachelors’ Degree at Mt. St. Mary’s College and his Dental Degree at University of Maryland.  He served as a Major in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.  Dr. Meier was a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club of Sayville and was an avid golfer and gardener.

Dr. Meier was predeceased by his wife Marlene in 1999.  He is survived by his three sons, Robert and his wife Shauneen of Germany and Ireland, Eric of the Bronx and Chris of Sayville, his four grandchildren, Robert, Karl, William and Mary, as well as his sister, Marion Harrington of Massapequa Park

Friends and relatives will gather at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home, in West Sayville on Wednesday, September 27th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday September 28th at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville and interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Calverton.
