Seminars on September 21 to Answer Estate Planning Questions

Published: September 15, 2022

On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home will host two free estate planning seminars featuring three experts who will address common questions about wills, trusts, veteran benefits and funeral planning. The public is invited to register for either 1 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. by calling (631) 472-0122 or visiting the seminar signup page raynordandrea.com . Reservations are required for the seminars, which will be held at 245 Main Street, West Sayville, NY.

Why Attend an Estate Planning Seminar?

There’s a saying: “The best way to predict your future is to create it.” That represents one of the top reasons to learn more about estate planning — having control over how your estate is handled and how your funeral or memorial service is conducted.

“We are excited to welcome Sayville families to learn more about wills and trusts, Medicaid, funerals and cremation and veterans’ benefits,” says Rich D’Andrea, Licensed Funeral Director and Owner of Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home. “Attendees may be surprised at what they learn about protecting their futures through proper legal and personal planning.”

D’Andrea will address funeral planning topics and provide attendees with free Funeral Planning guides, while attorney David P. Fallon of Fallon and Fallon, LLP, will address legal concerns, including wills, estates and Medicaid issues. In addition, Gary W. Richard, Senior Veteran

Service Officer of the Suffolk County Veteran Service Agency, will talk about benefits for qualifying veterans. All will be on hand to answer questions following the presentation.

Free Funeral Planning Guide for All

All who attend the complimentary seminar will also receive a funeral planning guide as thanks for attending. This guide is designed to assist families in making their wishes clear down to the details of music, readings and other service details. It also helps family members know where to find important information.

“Believe it or not, documenting your wishes can be very rewarding,” says D’Andrea. “You can define what you want for your estate and funeral or memorial services. Peace of mind comes from knowing the details have been taken care of for your spouse or children. It truly does ease a family’s stress to have a plan in place when a person passes.”
