Kochnower, William, of Holbrook, on September 11, 2016. Cherished husband of Helen. Loving father of Jeff, Janet Dougherty (Richard), and the late Laurie. Beloved grandfather of Lisa (Jason), David, Karen, Michael, and Nicole. Devoted great grandfather of Caitlyn, Sam, and Jax. William was the first principal at Commack North High School and eventually retired as the Commack School District Superintendent. Graveside services Tuesday 2:00 p.m. at New Montefiore Cemetery, West Babylon. The family will be sitting Shiva on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 pm at the family residence, 96 Colony Drive, Holbrook, New York 11741.
