Visiting Hours: Sunday, October 9th, 7-9:30 p.m. and Monday, October 10th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at our West Sayville funeral home.
Funeral Mass: Tuesday, October 11th, 10 a.m. at St. John Nepomucene RC Church in Bohemia.
Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
Sam Foote, 80, a fifty-year resident of Holbrook, LI, died on October 5, 2016. Mr. Foote served as a Paratrooper in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for more than forty years with Con Edison in Queens. Sam was also a longtime member and usher at St. John Nepomucene RC Church in Bohemia and a longtime assistant scout master with Boy Scout Troop 76 in Bohemia.
Mr. Foote is survived by his wife of 58-years, Peggy, his six children, Sammy and his wife Jeannie of Mastic, Michael (Jeanne) of Montana, Joseph and his wife Jackie of Schroon Lake, NY, Thomas and his wife Jean of Selden, Susan White and her husband George of Ronkonkoma and Margie Kennedy-Etheridge and her husband John of Holbrook, his fourteen grandchildren, Kathleen (Rich), Stephen, Jonathan, Ryan, Sarah, Sam, Joshua, Shelby, Joseph, Maggie, Brian, Michael, Liam and Nathan, as well as his three great-grandchildren, Richie, Keith and Robbie. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Jeanne, in 2015.
