Funeral Mass- Tuesday October 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux R.C. Church, Montauk

Interment- Fort Hill Cemetery, Montauk

"Ray" died peacefully on October 20, 2017 following a very brief illness. He was born on August 26, 1949 to Ralph and Jane and grew up in New Hyde Park, NY. Married to Eileen Joyce for almost 48 years and lived in Montauk for the last 17.  Father to Lisa and her husband Joe Lagner of Pembroke, MA and Michael and his wife Maura of Basking Ridge, NJ. Awesome Grandpa to Joey, Tommy, Quinn, Mackenzie, Meredith, and Lindsey. Younger brother to Richard Cappiello of Bradenton, FL and many nieces and nephews. Friends since childhood with John and Noreen Bishar who have always been thought of as family. Ray was a dedicated Yankees and Giants fan. A funny guy who always had a story to tell and will be greatly missed.
