Paul R. Holmes

Paul R. Holmes, 81, of Sayville, passed away on June 23, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia, his children Barbara Gaias and husband Eddie Gaias; Paul Holmes and wife Maripaz Antón; Kelly Ford and husband Fred Ford;  Tommy Holmes and wife Angela Selden; brother-in-law  and sister-in-law James and Barbara Ann Bullock, niece Deanna and husband Shane Rigby and nephew David Bullock, cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren, great uncle to 2 nephews and predeceased by his daughter Kathi Ann.

A longtime resident of Sayville, Paul was a past president of the Kiwanis Club in Sayville and was an avid Yankee fan until his grandchilren guided him to the righteous path of the New York Mets. 

Friends and family gathered at the Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home, West Sayville on Wednesday, June 28 from 7-9:30 p.m. and again on Thursday from 2-4:30 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m. A chapel service will be held at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home Thursday. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. for a brief prayer followed by interment at L.I. National Cemetery.
