Patricia A. Boyle, 82, died January 22, 2016. Patricia was born to Joseph V. and Cecilia T. Carroll on February 11, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY. Patricia was raised in Massapequa and attended St Martins of Tours Elementary School in Amityville, where she made several life-long friends. Patricia was a graduate of St. Vincent's School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse in various capacities—private duty corporate nurse, a staff nurse at the VA Hospital in Northport and later a vascular studies nurse in an office practice.  While working as a corporate nurse, Patricia met and fell in love with John S. Boyle. The two were married on May 25, 1957, settled in Sayville, NY and became the loving parents of five children. Patricia was married to John for 45 years until his death in 2002.

Patricia enjoyed bird watching, antiquing and reading. But her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a faithful parishioner of St. Lawrence the Martyr Roman Catholic Church in Sayville. Patricia will be remembered for her radiant smile, selflessness,  tenderness, compassion, and fun-loving spirit.

Patricia is survived by her children: Patricia Carroll and her husband Jim; James and his wife Tracy; Mary Jeanne Stead and her husband Tim; Kevin and his wife Heather; Catherine Almeida and her husband David; and ten grandchildren: Connor, Timothy, Bridget, Jordan, Theresa, James, Amanda, Joshua, Gwen and Naomi.
