Mary M. "Peg" Petersen (nee Hafemeister), of Clarks Summit, PA, formerly of Blue Point, L.I. on November 23, 2017. Beloved wife of Anker. Loving mother of Brendan and Neil. Cherished sister of John (Carol), James (Diane), Joseph (Lisa), Michael (Demetra), William, Peter (Janice), Ralph (Hadley), Patricia (John) Petersen, Elizabeth (Jim) Farrell, Anne (Jim) Culp, Nicole (John) Reddington and the late Tina. Predeceased by her father Ralph Hafemeister. Cherished daughter of Mary Hafemeister and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Peg was proud to have been the valedictorian of her class and held a master’s degree in education. She loved with her whole heart and will be missed by her family in endless ways. Visitation will be on Tuesday November 28th from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home 683 Montauk Hwy Bayport, New York. Funeral Mass Wednesday November 29, 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church in Blue Point. Private cremation to follow.
