Funeral Mass- Monday April 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence R.C. Church, Sayville

Interment- Claverton National Cemetery

            Mary Mahoney, 88, a resident of Oceanside L.I. from 1955- 2010, died on Friday, April 8, 2016. Mary was a licensed practical nurse working at Long Beach Memorial during her career. She was very active in numerous non-profit organizations such as the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, Hospice and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mary was a very talented artist and most of all a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. 

            Mrs. Mahoney is survived by her children, Kathleen Burgio of Aquebogue, Christine Belmont of Pennsylvania and Nancy VanHouten and her husband Walter of Bohemia, as well as her grandchildren, Kim Burgio, Jessica Lucchese, Kelly Thorry, Brooke Weber, Ryan Belmont, Kyle Belmont, Zachary Belmont. and great-grandchildren, Dominic, Dylan, Drew Patrick, Jake, Cole, Luke, and Brett.  Mary was predeceased by her husband Raymond and by her son Matthew.

            Friends and relatives will gather on Sunday, April 10th from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 11th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville and interment will followed in Calverton National Cemetery.
