Visiting Hours:  Sunday, November 12th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at our West Sayville funeral home.

Funeral Service:  Sunday, November 12th, 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cremation will be private.

Kenneth S. Seal, 82, of Sayville, LI, died on November 8, 2017.  Raised in Williston Park, LI, Ken graduated from Mineola High School where he was President of his senior class and an all star athlete.  He went on to play football and lacrosse at University of Rhode Island where he earned his Bachelors’ Degree and would later earn two separate Masters’ Degrees at Hofstra University and Western Michigan University.  Mr. Seal was a longtime educator, teaching in districts throughout the country before settling on Long Island.  After more than 20 years, he retired from William Floyd School District in 1995.  Ken’s true passion was sports and coaching and mentoring kids.  He coached many sports and touched many young lives with his life lessons through the years. He was known for his wit and candor and respected by everyone he met. Ken was also known by so many as a swimming coach at the Shoreham Beach and Tennis Club and as a golf coach throughout the Sayville area.

Mr. Seal is survived by his wife, Barbara, his two children, Kenneth of Sayville and Amy Schossler and her husband Greg of Virginia, two grandchildren, Sophia and Luke, his brother, Leonard and a sister-in-law, Alice.  He was predeceased by his brother, James Seal.

Friends and relatives gathered at the Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville on Sunday, November 12th where a religious service was held.
