Visiting Hours:  Tuesday, July 19th, 7-9:30 p.m. and Wednesday, July 20th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at our West Sayville funeral home.

Funeral Service:  8 p.m. Wednesday, July 20th and 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21st at the funeral home.

Interment:  Sayville Union Cemetery.

John J. Tomasetti, 71, of Sayville, LI, died on Saturday, July 16, 2016.  Raised in Lindenhurst, John graduated from Lindenhurst High School and served as the student body President.  He went on to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree at SUNY Farmingdale.  Mr. Tomasetti worked for many years as a civil engineer with both New York State and Suffolk County Department of Public Works before retiring as the Director of Maintenance for the County.  He was also a 4th Degree Knight and Past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, an active member and board member with the Sayville Historical Society and a board member and Past President of the Homeowner’s Association at Sunrise Village in Sayville.

Mr. Tomasetti is survived by his wife, Nanci, his four children, Pasquale and his wife Michelle of Sayville, John, II and his wife Isabel of Sayville, Marjorie Decottignies and her husband Bertrand of France and Eric Fox and his wife Suzanne of Long Beach, his seven grandchildren, Qxiara, Calista, Vivienne, Tom, Maé, Arlo and Mavis, his brother, Pat and his wife Barbara of St. James, his sister, Elaine Carucci and her husband Fred of Ridge, as well as many nieces and nephews.
