Funeral Mass:  Thursday, June 30th, 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church, Sayville.

Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.

Henrietta McNevin, 92, a resident of the Sayville area since 1964, died on Sunday, June 26, 2016.  Raised in Ozone Park, Queens, Henrietta graduated from John Adams High School.  In 1945, she met and married George McNevin and the two started their family.  Mrs. McNevin was a volunteer and Past President of the Good Samaritan Hospital Guild. After raising her family she worked for six years as a telephone operator for the Sayville Union Free School District.

Mrs. McNevin was predeceased by her husband George in 2003.  She is survived by her five children, James and his wife Elizabeth of East Quogue, Daniel and his wife Cheryl of Sayville, George, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Charleston, South Carolina, Ellen Caldas of Riverdale and Lauren of Patchogue, her six grandchildren, James, Jennifer, Carl, Daniel, Rory and Ava, her great grandchildren, Ryan, Morgan, Patrick and Arlo, as well as her sister, Eleanor Schaeffer of Dunellon, Florida.
