Helen A. Guzik

Helen A. Guzik, 90, passed away on March 18, 2017 in Bayport, NY.

Following a private cremation, a Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday March 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snow Church in Blue Point.

Helen was born on Sylvan Ave. in Bayport, NY to Anna and Stephen Yablonski on August 28, 1926. After graduating Seton Hall in 1944 she earned a certificate as Executive Secretary from The Wood School, worked at Brookhaven Lab, ANCORP, the I.R.S. and in her family’s floral and design business.

Helen is survived by her husband of 69 years, Edward J. Guzik, their son, Edward Guzik and his wife Angela Guzik of West Sayville, daughter, Diane Guzik Holmes and her husband Charles S. Holmes of Sag Harbor, grandchildren, E.J. Guzik, Veronica Guzik, Carrie Catherine Holmes and great grandson, Aidan Guzik. Survived by her brother Leon (Muriel) Yablonski and sister in law Carolyn Yablonski.
