Dennis G. Gannon

Dennis G. Gannon, 73, of the West Sayville-Oakdale area and Lady Lake, Florida, died suddenly on January 12, 2017.  Born and raised in Amityville, LI, Dennis lived in West Sayville for 25 years before moving to Oakdale where he spent the last twenty years in the West Oak Recreational Club, WORC, while wintering in The Villages in Florida.  Mr. Gannon was a Police Officer with the Suffolk County Police Department before retiring in 1992 and also worked as a Licensed Funeral Director at many funeral homes across Long Island.

Mr. Gannon is survived by his wife, Barbara, his three children, Greg and his wife Andrea of North Babylon, Geoff and his wife Rose of Holtsville and Dyane Howard and her husband Steve of Virginia, his grandchildren, Danny and his wife Jamie, Kyle, Alena, Ryan, Jack, Conor, Ava and Cole, as well as his two sisters, Carole Carillion and her husband Ed and Nancy Hoagland and her husband Jim.

Friends and family will gather 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 10th, at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville where a service will be held at 12:30 p.m.
