Angelina Sousa

Graveside Service - 1:00 p.m. Friday April 14th at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.

Angelina Sousa, 94, a more than 45-year resident of Sayville, LI, died on April 10, 2017.  Born in Sicily, Angelina came to the United States as a young child.  Mrs. Sousa worked as a seamstress for many years in New York’s garment district and more recently on Long Island.

            Mrs. Sousa is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie Hoss and her husband Robert of Sayville, her two grandchildren, Stephanie Hoss Bricker and her husband Craig, and Robert Hoss and his wife Suzanne, as well as her five great-grandchildren, Cole and Anna Bricker, and Brooke, Taylor and Robert Hoss.  Angelina was predeceased by her husband Claude in 1972 and by her son Claude, Jr. in 2015.

            Friends and relatives will gather for a committal service at Long Island National Cemetery on Friday, April 14th at 1:00 p.m.

            In lieu of flowers, contributions made in Mrs. Sousa’s memory to the Long Island Alzheimer’s  Foundation, 5 Channel Drive, Port Washington, New York 11050, are appreciated.
